Job Description
About the role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Knowledge Management Specialist to join our team. As a Knowledge Management Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining an effective knowledge management platform, and for implementing strategies which will enhance organizational efficiency and facilitate seamless information sharing. You will play a vital role in capturing, organizing, and disseminating knowledge within the company, ensuring that essential information is readily available to support our consulting professionals, and to drive innovation.
Responsibilities:
  • Assist with design and implementation of a comprehensive knowledge management strategy aligned with our organizations goals and objectives.
  • Maintain a centralized knowledge management platform or system, incorporating best practices and leveraging appropriate technologies.
  • Capture, document, and organize information from various sources, including internal documents, databases, subject matter experts, and external resources.
  • Establish and enforce knowledge management standards, guidelines, and processes to ensure consistency, accuracy, and relevance of information.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders and subject matter experts to identify knowledge gaps, capture tacit knowledge, and encourage knowledge sharing and collaboration.
  • Conduct regular audits and quality checks of the knowledge repository to ensure data integrity, relevancy, and usability.
  • Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on knowledge management principles, tools, and techniques.
  • Provide guidance and support to individuals and teams in effectively accessing and utilizing knowledge resources.
  • Monitor and analyze knowledge management metrics and performance indicators to assess the effectiveness of knowledge management initiatives and identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders to design a process for knowledge entry into the knowledge management system
  • Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in knowledge management, and recommend innovative solutions to enhance knowledge sharing and collaboration within the organization.
  • And other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
The skills you bring to the table:
  • Bachelor's degree in information science, knowledge management, library science, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience in knowledge management, information management, or a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of knowledge management principles, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in knowledge management tools and technologies, including content management systems, intranets, collaboration platforms, and document management systems.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work with complex information.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly and concisely.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with data analysis and reporting tools is a plus.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance requirements (e.g., data privacy, intellectual property, conflicts of interest, etc.) is desirable.
Bonus points if you have experience in:
  • Significant knowledge management system design and/or knowledge management system maintenance experience within the life sciences consulting industry.
Travel:Up to 25% or as needed to accomplish objectives

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $80,000 to $100,000. It is not typical for offers to be made at or near the top of the range. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to base salary and a competitive benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
